Past Notes

Looks like Nic may have forgotten today.
October 15th, 2015
Today we talked about what Nic hopes to learn, where he's at, and that kind of thing.
We started off with fret logic, explaining how the keys are related to each other.
The Circle of Fifths is an important aspect of getting this-- it's like the decoder ring to music.
Every "key" has 3 major and 3 minor chords.
Find out which ones by picking a chord on the outside ring, the chords either side of that chord are the major, the minors are inside the ring next to them.
The order of chords following a scale is: major minor minor major major minor
Remember that a fifth is a "chess move" and an octave is a double chess move.
