Today was Taylor's first lesson.

We started out with some exploration of her vocal range and ability to sing on pitch. She did really well. We will focus on accuracy and control. We did this for the first 15 minutes.

The last 15 minutes we listened to a Taylor Swift song she was interested in, called Blank Space, then sang through it together.

We moved from the computer to the piano, and I played it and she sang through it again. We then focused on some problem spots where she is "throwing away" certain parts.

I asked her to practice singing scales at home with the piano, and to learn the second verse of the song.
