Rock & Roll 101

This was Allsun's first lesson. We started with vocal exercises at the piano, trying to figure her range, and singing scales. We then moved to application, singing "Oceans" and talking about diphthongs.

Diphthongs are combination of elemental vowels sounds, and singing them is a challenge- one must sing the first sound, and transition to the second sound at the end of the word. The long "A" is a good example of this, and it's used a lot in Oceans.
