Biography

Matt is interested in lots of different instruments, and learns quickly. He learned some piano as a kid, and came to me with a desire to expand his understanding from blindly reading music and not knowing what he was doing into actual understanding. He wanted to be able to improvise, to improve his sense of timing, and to even be creative in how he played. Since then, he's branched out into some basic drumming, and embraced the acoustic guitar where he's really thrived.

Matt has had 79 lessons since beginning in 2023 and has been learning piano, guitar and drums.
