Maybe help him think of others. He also doesn't have a list of songs to learn yet.\n He told me that he didn't want to continue with lessons, and that he'd only practised Down By the Bay and not Mary Had a Little Lamb.\n Considering that, Mary had a Little Lamb went really well. We spent the majority of the lesson working on Down by the Bayand we got better in the lesson time.\n After that we added Star Wars which he seemed keen about.\n If you'd rather I just help him to have a really good time, and to not push too hard I can do that, I just feel bad if he's not improving, because I know it's expensive.\n I usually set the bar really high for my students right from the outset. That might not work for everyone, so let me know how you'd like to handle it.\n Thanks Steph!
